His mission: gather intelligence on Donovan Desmond, a prominent politician who rarely appears in public except at his sons’ prestigious school, Eden Academy. To infiltrate the academy, Loid creates a family, recruiting unmarried city hall clerk Yor Briar to pose as his wife and adopting Anya, a curious six-year-old orphan, as his daughter.

Loid plans to enroll Anya in Eden Academy, expecting her success to provide the opportunity to meet Donovan discreetly. However, playing the role of a devoted father and husband proves more challenging than he anticipated. Meanwhile, Yor hides her identity as an underground assassin known as “Thorn Princess,” and Anya, a secret esper who can read minds, keeps her abilities concealed.
